Generally Available: SQL Server support on Azure Local connected mode
With SQL Server on Azure Local, you can run SQL Server workloads on Azure Local infrastructure while leveraging Azure services for centralized management, governance, monitoring, security, and licensing experiences. By connecting to Azure through Azure Arc, you can maintain a consistent hybrid operating model across on-premises, edge, and cloud environments.
In addition to traditional database workloads, you can use SQL Server on Azure Local to provide a foundation for AI-powered applications and intelligent data solutions. You can keep sensitive data local while enabling AI and analytics scenarios that require low-latency access to operational data. This approach helps you bring AI closer to the data, reducing data movement while supporting governance and compliance requirements.
