Generally Available: Azure Virtual Network routing appliance
Virtual NetworkLaunchedAzure update
Azure Virtual Network routing appliance is now generally
available. It delivers private connectivity across virtual networks, using
specialized hardware for low latency, high throughput, and better performance
than virtual machines.
Key benefits and functionalities:
- High-bandwidth east-west routing: provisioned bandwidth tiers up to 200 Gbps per instance.
- Dual-stack and IPv6 at scale: IPv4, IPv6, and dual-stack virtual networks, including IPv6 access control list enforcement.
- Scale-out private access: global and cross-region private endpoint support through a single appliance.
- No operational overhead: fully managed with built-in high availability and availability zone resiliency.
- Built-in monitoring: throughput, packet, and flow metrics available in Azure Monitor with no diagnostic configuration required.
