Generally available: Anthropic Claude Sonnet 5 on Azure Databricks
Azure Databricks now supports Anthropic Claude Sonnet 5 through Azure Databricks AI Model Serving. Claude Sonnet 5 is Anthropic's most agentic Sonnet model to date, delivering near-Opus-level intelligence with Sonnet's cost efficiency and speed. Designed for coding, agentic workflows, and professional work at scale, it is a hybrid reasoning model with adaptive thinking on by default. Claude Sonnet 5's largest gains are in coding and agentic tasks, making it ideal for teams building long-running AI agents, automating multi-file software development, and running high-volume professional workflows where both quality and cost efficiency matter. The model runs securely within the Azure Databricks environment, with access available through pay-per-token Foundation Model APIs.
